Meeting five times a year, the Executive Committee is a smaller version of Council comprising the 7 Honorary Officers, two members of Council and the Chairs of the Regional Councils of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

It deals largely with administrative matters but also undertakes preparatory work on particular issues for recommendation to Council and may discuss how to implement decisions made by Council.
