RCPath Excellence Awards
To celebrate excellence in pathology practice and promote high standards in pathology education, training and research to deliver the best patient care, the College is launching the RCPath Excellence Awards. These complement our existing schemes that celebrate public engagement and research.
We invite you to nominate your teams or colleagues, of all professional backgrounds and disciplines, in the following categories:
- Patient safety
- Innovation in pathology practice
- Significant contribution to specialty
- Contribution to education.
Individual winners will be invited to the College’s Annual Dinner and RCPath Excellence Awards on 12 June. Team awards will be presented 'on location' or at the annual dinner depending on team size. More than one awards may be given in each category.
Who can be nominated?
Only members can make nominations and no self-nominations please. If you nominate a team at least one of the team must be a College member.
How to submit nominations
Completed nomination forms must be submitted by noon on Tuesday 23 April 2019. Forms must include a personal statement of up to 200 words, indicating why the the nominee(s) should receive the award (the citation must be suitable for publication).
Supporting evidence or additional information to support the nomination form should be no more than one side of A4. Examples of evidence might include signatures of others who support the nomination, pictures of events, or details of publications.
Please submit completed nomination forms with additional supporting evidence of no more than one side of A4 as a Word document or PDF to email@example.com.
How will nominations be judged?
Nominations will be considered for an award on the following criteria, scored 1–10:
- evidence of support for achievement in citation
- strength of supportive evidence
- alignment with College’s 2018–21 Strategy.
