The College has published a book, Low Allergy Gardening, to accompany the College's Silver Gilt Medal winning Low Allergy Garden at the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show 2016.

Low Allergy Gardening - The why and how of plant allergies and plants to choose for your low allergy garden

The College has published Low Allergy Gardening - The why and how of plant allergies and plants to choose for your low allergy garden.

The book has been co-authored by Dr Tim Wreghitt and Dr Joanna Sheldon, both fellows of the College.

The book has been written for people who have respiratory allergies such as asthma and hay fever, which are caused or exacerbated by breathing in plant pollen. It describes which plants to choose for a low allergy garden such as those which are insect pollinated or have low pollen. It also explains the role of pathologists in the diagnosis of allergies and what treatments are available.

Tim and Jo wrote the book in response to a request from Her Majesty The Queen when she visited the College's garden at the 2012 Chelsea Flower Show.

To find out more and to purchase a copy of the book, visit Low Allergy Gardening.
