The Royal College of Pathologists has implemented an annual quality assurance process (known as the CPD review) since 1999 to maintain the integrity and quality of the College’s continuing professional development (CPD) scheme.
In October, a random selection of 10% of non-medically qualified pathologists will be made and those selected will be informed of their selection via email. The Professional Standards department will access the participants’ reports of CPD activities for the 2021-2022 CPD year and review these in line with the CPD review criteria.

The CPD review will be conducted in-house and will be supervised by the Clinical Director for Safety and Quality.
What do you have to do?
You do not have to do anything apart from provide additional supporting information if asked to do so – this may be due to insufficient evidence being provided in the first place. If you meet the review criteria, we will send you a statement to confirm this.
