Be one of the first to shape a new online research community for pathologists

The College has launched a new research publishing gateway which provides an online research forum for those interested in the study of the pathology of human and animal diseases.

The gateway is hosted by F1000Research  which also supports similar platforms for several organisations including the Wellcome Trust and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The College gateway will give members the opportunity to rapidly publish original research, case reports and validation studies of laboratory methods and antibodies. Subject to satisfactory peer review by experts, articles will be approved for inclusion on Pubmed and other bibliographic databases. Members can also submit posters, slides, and documents including clinical audits.

The gateway – which has been funded by the College as a pilot up until Autumn 2019 – provides an exciting opportunity for both experienced researchers and trainees to build an online community where ideas can circulate rapidly and be developed with other pathologists.

Author publishing charges apply but the College is very keen to encourage the publication of work by trainees, so for a limited introductory period, we are offering to subsidise the article processing charges for trainees making early submissions to the gateway. We anticipate funding approximately 50 papers on a first-come first-served basis.
