The 2018 CAPA meeting will be the first "external" event at the Royal College of Pathologists new home in Alie Street E1. It will be a 2 day meeting with lectures in the mornings and small group tutorials in the afternoons. As always, there will be plenty of time for informal discussions between the speakers and delegates.
We are always fortunate enough to attract leaders in the field to share their knowledge and expertise with us and where possible, speakers will allow their slides to be available on the CAPA website. This time we are including lectures on mass spectroscopy for protein analysis, epitope mapping of ANCA antibodies, optimising demand and the NAP6 report on perioperative anaphylaxis. The workshop topics include electrophoresis, immunofixation and cryoproteins, investigation of autoimmune disease (including ANA and ANCA), quality control and quality assurance, immunodeficiency, allergy, clinical rheumatology and clinical haematology. A book including information from all the workshops will be given to every delegate.
CAPA meetings are fairly small with approximately 150 participants (including organisers, speakers and delegates) providing an ideal environment for a stimulating and informative meeting. We always have an enthusiastic group of delegates who help to make it an enjoyable meeting for everyone.
