The date is already set for 2018. The Course will occur on Friday, 5th October 2018. As ever, it will be held at Cheltenham Racecourse. The programme includes the familiar “Bryan Warren Lectures” which will be on the reporting of chronic inflammatory bowel disease. Not only will we discuss the reporting of biopsies and resection specimens, we will also discuss current aspects of neoplasia complicating chronic inflammatory bowel disease. Then, there will be talks on spindle cell tumours of the gut and an update on BCSP and colorectal cancer pathology. All of these talks will be undertaken by the usual crew, Bateman, Novelli, Wong & Shepherd. Still one of the world’s greatest speakers, Professor Geraint Williams will talk on a subject concerning the History of Pathology. I am also delighted to announce that Professor Derek Alderson, the current President of the Royal College of Surgeons, will deliver the Guest Lecture, giving us some of his enormous knowledge and experience of the management of upper GI cancer. There will be the familiar Questions and Answers session, presentations on interesting cases and, of course, the Quiz.
