This report of the 2022 Medical Examiner Annual Conference summarises progress in the introduction of a statutory medical examiner service. It includes a strategic update from the Department of Health and Social Care on implementation and the work required to move towards this. The report also highlights the benefits of pilot medical examiner systems through case studies.
