2. Between 14 and 20 September 2026, post a photo or short video (1-2 minutes) on LinkedIn. In your caption, answer the following question: What is your lab/team doing to improve patient safety?
3. Include the hashtag #RCPathWPSD and tag RCPath's LinkedIn account in your post.
4. Ensure your LinkedIn post is public so that we can view your entry.

The winning entry will receive £200. Whether your team is improving quality assurance processes, strengthening diagnostic pathways, introducing innovative technologies or delivering quality improvement initiatives, we encourage you to share your experiences and help inspire colleagues across the pathology community.

World Patient Safety Day webinar series

This year's programme of 3 webinars features expert speakers from across healthcare and pathology. Together, we explore how pathology can strengthen patient safety, improve diagnostic pathways and support better outcomes for patients. Attendees are eligible for 1 CPD point per webinar.  

1. Improving patient safety through Point of Care Testing (POCT) – took place on 1 September
2. Advancing paediatric and maternal health in the UK and abroad – took place on 8 September
3. Joined-up healthcare: designing error out of diagnostic pathways – Monday 14 September, 1pm BST. We will be focusing on how integrated systems, effective communication and pathway design can help reduce diagnostic error and improve patient safety. Register for free here.
