COVID-19 has had a huge impact on the ability of the College, pathology departments and trainers to provide adequate training and examinations across the pathology specialties. This has had a detrimental impact on the ability of trainees to progress through their training programmes, and also on their well-being.
As we are entering a period of recovery in relation to the pandemic in the UK, there is a determination to restart and reboot training. So that we can help ensure that pathology trainees receive all the necessary support and resources to help them going forward, we need to assess the impact of the pandemic on training across the pathology trainee body.
