Oopen to Fellows of the College, these roles are a great way to get involved in some of the College's key areas of work. Each appointment runs for a three-year term and is remunerated for two programmed activities (PAs) per week.

Clinical Director of Examinations (Learning)

Responsible for the strategic development of the FRCPath, Diploma and Certificate examinations, you will work closely with the examinations team, panel chairs, lead examiners and the wider Learning department to ensure delivery of high-quality College examinations.

Clinical Director of Safety and Quality

With a key role in pathology practice and patient safety, you will support the development, delivery and review of the College's Patient Safety Strategy, helping to promote safer cultures, safer systems and high-quality pathology practice across the membership and wider healthcare system. You will bring a good understanding of the range of pathology specialties and the ability to consider the priority and impact of issues and decisions.

With a key role in postgraduate pathology training, you will oversee the curriculum approval and implementation processes and the work of the College's specialty training committees. Supported by the training and assessment teams, this role requires collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians, which shares responsibility for many pathology specialties.

Clinical Director of Digital Pathology Education (Learning)

With a broad overview of the needs of all pathology disciplines, you will provide leadership and programme management for the development of the digital learning platform, content creation, content mapping and content curation. The role would suit a Fellow with experience in education and training across different levels (undergraduate and postgraduate) and professional groups, with an understanding of the delivery landscape of education and training nationally.
