To celebrate National Pathology Week 2015, the College ran a number of competitions for different age groups, ranging from primary school children to medical undergraduates.

These competitions aimed to engage people with pathology and celebrate pathologists and the impact of their work in healthcare. We are delighted to announce the winners as follows:

2015 Art of Pathology competition

Under-11 category winners are:

  • Sanya Arora, Year 6 student, St Helen’s School
  • Arnav Sharma, Year 4 student, Brindishe Green Primary School
  • Students of Gaddesby Primary School

11–18 category winners are:

  • Kimia Afzal, Year 11 student, Glenthorne High School
  • Honi Pein, Year 10 student, North London Collegiate School

Over-18 category winner:

Jayroshini Jegadeeson, a 5th year medical student at the University of Edinburgh. Miss Jegadeeson’s entry is on the cover of College's January 2015 Bulletin issue.

‘My favourite pathologist’ poster competition

Primary school winner: Sheyda Ghodrat, Year 6 student, North Ealing Primary School

Secondary school winner: Botaina El Hayani, Year 10 student, Harris Academy Bermondsey

Medical undergraduate essay prize

The prize was awarded to William Ryan Huddleston, a 3rd year medical student at Queen’s University Belfast.
