Nominations are now open for the President of the Royal College of Pathologists – a unique opportunity to provide visible leadership for the profession in the UK and internationally, and to influence healthcare across the NHS and beyond.
About the role
The College President acts as the College’s primary external representative, strengthening relationships with other royal colleges, politicians, policymakers and key stakeholders. Above all, they listen to members’ priorities and, working with fellow honorary officers and College staff, champion pathology and deliver improvements that support patient care.
Please note under the College’s Ordinances, the next President cannot be from the same specialty as the current President. This means fellows in chemical pathology or clinical biochemistry are not eligible to stand on this occasion.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 6 February 2026 at 12:00 Noon
Look out for an email from Civica with more details on how to self-nominate. Any queries on the process of filling in the nomination form should be sent to [email protected].
