In June and July 2024 the International team delivered a Global antimicrobial resistance (AMR) webinar series. Each week explored a different aspect of antimicrobial resistance and stewardship with speakers from around the world.
The webinar series was shortlisted for an award at the Antibiotic Guardian 2024–25 Shared Learning Event and Awards under the Multi-Country Collaboration category. The awards champion organisations and individuals who have demonstrated achievements in tackling antimicrobial resistance at a local, regional or national level.
Members of the International team and Professor Angharad Davies, RCPath Clinical Director for Publishing and Engagement presented our poster at the awards outlining the impact of our webinar series to award attendees.

From right to left: Professor Angharad Davies – Clinical Director for Publishing and Engagement, Kelley Price – International Projects Officer, Giles Hanratty – International Education Officer.

Our poster outlined:
- the topics that were covered during the webinar series
- speaker countries
- where the attendees joined from around the world
- feedback about the webinar series.
There were numerous engaging presentations that explored AMR in veterinary health, artificial intelligence and how the power of storytelling can enhance awareness around AMR.
While our poster did not win, we were delighted to be shortlisted and it was really valuable to hear about all the work that is being conducted around the world to help combat AMR.
Special thanks
Special thanks go to Professor Angharad Davies, Clinical Director for Publishing and Engagement for creating and submitting the poster for the awards.
