Read a commentary on the The Hutton Review of Forensic Pathology, imaging based autopsies and the future of coronial autopsy services.

In March 2015, Professor Peter Hutton submitted his review of Forensic Pathology services in England and Wales to the Minister of State for Crime Prevention. Importantly, Professor Hutton felt it was not possible to review forensic pathology without also reviewing non-forensic coronial autopsy services. In the document below, Dr David Bailey, RCPath Vice President for Communications provides a commentary on the review and coronial and image-based autopsy provision.

The British Association in Forensic Medicine's response to the Hutton Review is also available below.
