The Royal College of Pathologists is once again hosting its successful Pathology Summer School event.

This is an annual event open to medical students in any year of training, offering the opportunity to find out about the wide range of pathology specialties through a mixture of lectures and interactive specialty sessions. This free two-day virtual course will give you a chance to hear from current trainees and established consultants about their careers.

This is a chance to learn more about the role of pathology in healthcare, including current research and future advances. The content will be relevant whether you are considering a career in pathology or not; all doctors use pathology services and benefit from a greater understanding of the specialty.

A medical student who attended a previous summer school said:

`This was one of the best summer schools I have ever attended. This course has shown me how diverse and interesting pathology can be, and now I look forward to becoming one.'

The next summer school is scheduled for Thursday 12 and Friday 13 August 2021, places will be offered based on a formal application process.
