The Haematopathology and Oncology Diagnostic Service (HODS) Laboratory will staff this stand and explain about what HODs does and careers that are available.

The stand will provide literature from useful organisations as well as examples of the work that we do, such as images of real karyotypes. There will be a new emphasis on the molecular, cytogenetic and sequencing work that Haematopathology and Oncology Diagnostic Service (HODS) carries out for the new Genomic Laboratory Hub, of which HODS is a part. We hope that attendees from the Trust will learn more about how the laboratory fits into the diagnostic element of the patient pathway. Students will be able to learn about careers that we offer as HODS' staff will be at the stand all day. Patients and visitors will be able to learn more about what happens to their samples, the types of tests that we run and how that information helps their clinicians.
