This one day in‑person study day at UCLH explores the full multidisciplinary pathway for gene therapy in haemoglobinopathies, drawing on experience from a leading centre in the South of the UK. The programme offers a practical, end‑to‑end view of pathway design and delivery, including referral and decision‑making, cell collection, laboratory processes, inpatient care, pharmacy, nursing coordination, psychosocial and fertility considerations, and future service planning.

Through expert-led sessions and cross‑disciplinary discussion, the day supports referring centres, established teams, and services developing gene therapy pathways, while providing insight into governance, workforce roles, and integrated models of care across complex specialist services nationally recognised.
