TOPICS COVERED
- This event will be provided free of charge to all UK based healthcare professionals with an interest in chronic myeloid leukaemia, to include resident and more senior physicians, specialist nurses and pharmacists, basic and diagnostic laboratory staff,
- We aim to provide, in a single day, updates in molecular diagnosis and monitoring, the impact of mutations in somatic genes other than BCR::ABL1, the biology and management of disease progression, tips for managing complex patients (both resistant and intolerant), recent results and availability of clinical trials on novel agents, approaches to treatment discontinuation and supporting parenting.
- Each of our speakers is an acclaimed expert in their field and the day offers a unique opportunity not only to have a refresher course in CML but to interact directly with key opinion leaders.
- The day will end with a few moments of reflection on the careers of Professors Jane Apperley and Nicholas Cross, who will give their perspectives of their professional lives in haematology in general and CML in particular.
- We also invite attendees to join us at a reception to mark the event.
