BIA has produced a revised “Best Practice Standards for the delivery of NHS Infection Services in the United Kingdom”. Now is the time to ensure that infection services receive the resources they need for the future. The aim is to provide departments and NHS organisations with guidance regarding appropriate resource allocation. The standards document is open for consultation and is being sent to all RCPath Members and Fellows in infection specialties, as well as members of BIA, for comment.
