Pathology is at the heart of healthcare; however, the profession faces a growing workforce crisis that threatens patient care. Rising demand, staff shortages, and difficulties in recruitment and retention are putting pressure on services across all specialties. Meeting these challenges requires a workforce that is properly resourced, supported, and planned for the future. These reports set out the evidence, highlight pressures, and present recommendations for governments and health bodies. We also work with external organisations, providing evidence to support development of external workforce reports.
