Following the successful refresh of our careers booklets in 2018, we’ve updated our ‘What is Pathology?’ booklet ready for National Pathology Week 2019

Featuring new photographs and a patient case study, the College’s updated public information booklets have been developed for members to give out at school and public events.

The 16-page booklet highlights the vital role pathologists have as experts in the health service and show how pathologists are at the centre of diagnosing and treating patients. The information in the booklet has been written with non-expert audiences in mind and designed to contribute to our work around increasing understanding and awareness of pathology and its importance to health.

The accessible information is accompanied by new and engaging photography, much of which features members at work around the UK. Members and supporters who are running pathology-related activities and events in schools, hospitals and public venues can request copies of the new booklets online.

With events being planned by members and supporters around the UK for National Pathology Week 2019 (4 -10 Nov), the new booklets are a useful resource to share with diverse audience groups.
