We are looking for members who would like to join our Audit Evaluator Panel. The evaluators’ role would be to evaluate whether the criteria and standards for audits submitted to our audit certification scheme are met appropriately.

Dr Graham Russell, audit evaluator said:

"I have found the role of audit evaluator interesting and useful to my own role as a consultant Histopathologist. I include the audit evaluator role in my annual appraisal to demonstrate that I am familiar with the requirements of high quality audit in quality improvement and develop and maintain skills in critically evaluating audit and performing my own audits.

Some of the audits submitted are very impressive. They often have relevance and application to my own practice and I have shared the range and types of audits with my colleagues and trainees so that there is improvement in my own department’s governance activity.

The audit evaluator role is not onerous and the College website is easy to use in providing feedback to the authors."

How do I apply?

Please email an abridged CV, one of your own audit reports, and a statement in support of your application (no more than 500 words), explaining how your skills and experience meet the person specification to [email protected]. Check out the guidance for audit evaluators for more information about the role as well as how to apply.
