The microbiology annual conference programme takes place over four days and consists of scientific symposia, career development workshops, fora, prize lectures and hot topics.

TOPICS COVERED

The microbiology society annual conference is the flagship society event to share current microbiology research and provide professional development and networking opportunities. It aims to bring together scientists to shape the future of microbiology, strenghten membership networks and enable knowledge exchange. The full scientific programme can be found on our website (listed above) and consists of 21 scientific sessions across the breadth of microbiology as well as professional development sessions on ‘publishing fundamentals’, a careers fair and grant writing workshop, teaching microbiology in higher education, and an edi session.
Attendees will benefit from hearing cutting edge research in microbiology, both early career and mid career researchers will be able to present their work in offered talk or poster sessions. The conference will also provide ample networking opportunities for delegates in attendance.
