TOPICS COVERED

  • Thursday 17th: The meeting includes a clinico-Pathological Correlation of small placenta and a lecture dedicated to soft tissue paediatric pathology.
  • Friday 18th: A second block dedicated to Hirschsprung Disease and an approach to the assessment and interpretation of paediatric medical liver biopsies and mass‑Forming lesions in the liver in the older child.
  • In addition, oral communications, the John Emery Lecture and the first part of Skeletal Dysplasia Symposium.
  • Saturday 19th: Continuation of the Skeletal Dysplasia Symposium and a young pathologist's session.

It is open to anyone interested in pediatric, developmental and perinatal pathology, in an environment that allows close contact with experts and where the most relevant information for personal development in this field is acquired.

SPEAKERS

The group includes specialists in perinatal, fetal, neonatal and placental pathology such as Anastasia Konstantinidou, Marta Cohen, Alfons Nadal. Rita Alaggio, an expert in paediatric soft tissue tumors sarcomas. Rachel M. Brown, who focuses on fetal and neonatal liver pathology. Experts in fetal and placental imaging such as Elspeth Whitby; paediatric musculoskeletal and general radiology represented by Amaka Offiah; clinical genetics and genomic medicine by Meena Balasubramanian; and gastrointestinal anatomical pathology by Fátima Carneiro.
