This event is organised by the Pathological Society Great Britain and Ireland. The aim of these meetings is to give aspiring academic pathology trainees the opportunity to network and to learn important non-technical skills including academic writing, public engagement and media training. There will be talks by major funders on pre- and postdoctoral funding schemes.

Who should attend? This is open to both members and non-members of the Pathological Society Great Britain and Ireland. The main target audience of this event is pathology trainees who are interested in developing academic interests and getting involved in research. We also welcome foundation doctors or non-pathology trainee fellows who are interested in exploring career options in academic pathology.

Speakers: Academic trainees and senior academic pathologists as well as external speakers from NIHR Research Division Service London, the Royal College of Pathologists, British Medical Association and Media Woman. Please refer to the preliminary programme
