The talk also explores strategies for leading with empathy and emotional awareness, spotting repeating patterns and provides suggestions on seeking support when it is needed.

This session explores systemic burnout and the broader factors that contribute to it. It examines the organisational and systemic influences behind burnout, the burnout cycle is explained, and outlines key foundations for prevention. The discussion highlights the drivers creating systemic pressures on teams and emphasised the importance of advocating for change. Finally, practical approaches for achieving sustainable wellbeing are shared.

This session addresses belonging as a protective factor and how unmet needs led to burnout. It examines the experience of belonging, the ways micro-aggression eroded belonging, and how care can restore it with care. The discussion also covered overcoming othering, why inclusion is not about enforcing assimilation, and the strength found in solidarity. Finally, the session looks beyond burnout.
