Maternal deaths are rare (only 80–100pa across the UK) but their autopsies are not generally done well, due to unfamiliarity. These 2 lectures present the overarching context of maternal mortality in the UK, cover the major pathologies of Direct & Indirect maternal deaths, and inform on how to perform the autopsies optimally.
