Examination applications
Applications for the Sping 2026 examination will open by 5pm (UK time) on Friday 28 November and close at midnight (UK time) on Friday 2 January. Late applications will not be accepted.
Part 1 candidates who are resitting following the Autumn 2025 session do not need to apply online and should notify the Exams team in writing at [email protected] by the closing deadline.
Candidates who require reasonable adjustments to the examinations must complete the reasonable adjustments form (form available to download by scrolling down this page in the side column) and return it to [email protected] with appropriate supporting evidence once their application is complete and no later than 2 weeks after the closing deadline for the session. Applications received after this time may not be able to be accommodated.
Candidates for the Combined Infection Certificate Examination, Part 1 examination in Infection or Part 1 examination in Medical Microbiology & Virology should refer to this document to ensure they apply for the correct examination:
Candidates for Part 2 in Haematology Clinical Science and Transfusion Science must apply for both the oral and practical exam in this sitting.
Candidates for the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Certificate Examination (ACICE) and Part 1 Examination in Allergy and Clinical Immunology should apply as follows:
- Medical trainees on the ACI pathway should apply for the ACICE
- Medical trainees on the ACLI pathway should apply for the Part 1
- Clinical Scientists should apply for the Part 1
Candidates for Histopathology Part 2 will be notified of available overseas centres after the closing deadline.
